I'm currently looking for a good used car. I've done a lot of research on various sites but I still am not sure what would be the best buy. I want a dependable car that has good gas mileage and a nice ride.
Does anyone know what year and model of Toyota is the best? Does anyone have any personal experiences with owning a Toyota?

My favorite is Toyota Corollas and Matrix. But again, this is my own taste in cars. 2009 Corolla looks pretty sweet and I will be looking at it at Javits Center in NYC tomorrow night.

The Yari looks like a good model to look into. It starts at around $12,000 and the retail stated 29/32 mpg. I have never owned a Yari, but did own a tercel, (sister) and it had good gas mileage around 23mpg.

Dangit. Sorry Cassie and igor, I hit the wrong reply button (duhhh) and sent the last one by accident to Cassie instead of igor. Thank you for the info, Cassie. I appreciate your help. I haven't looked at the Yari. I love the gas mileage and price range. I don't know about the Tercel. My friend had one in high school and it had issues. That could have been just an isolated case though. Does your sister like her Tercel? Thanks again for the feedback

I bought my first toyota pickup in 99 and put over 283,000 miles on it. After that, i got a Tacoma and so far, both have been amazing. Toyota builds great quality cars that last forever. i haven't actually owned one of their cars but i can vouch for their trucks!
