Did anyone else here own a Tercel?

I had a couple in the early 80s and I liked them. There's one in my parking garage from that era and it looks like it's in mint condition.

They were but not necessarily compared to my next car, which was a Nissan Micra! :o

I preferred the Tercels to the Micra.

I bought a brand new Tercel in 1990.  I held on to that car till 2005.  It was a great car, I really used and ranked up the miles on it.  It was dependable and awesome on gas, around 25mph.  I sold it in 2005 for $800.  I loved it!

Cool.  I was just asking Cassie about her sister's Tercel and saw this thread.  Wow, you all have great feedback on the Tercel.  I was saying my friend had problems with hers.  But it sounds like a lot of you have had good Tercel experiences.  Thanks for your memories and info!
