29/35 mpg rating

I am planning on buying a new car this year and since all my prior vehicles have been a Toyota, I plan to buy another one. I have been researching Yari and the stated MPG is 29/35. I am wondering how far off of this figure is? The MPG may make a big difference in this car and or a Prius.
