I'm in Northern VA and the RAV4 is in Knoxville,Tenn.  I'm planning a trip to see my #2 daughter and plan to do a fluid change in her 2004 4WD- engine oil, diff and transfer. I've done the engine oil before so I have the proper type and size wrenches packed.  Can someone tell me what size and type of wrenches I'll need to do the diff and transfer?  I want to make sure I bring the right driver, sockets, open end and box end wrenches with me .....  Thanks

I don't know the plug sizes offhand, sorry. The datasheets just list fluid capacities and types. You'd be best off taking your whole set, if possible. I bought a GearWrench GearRatch pass-thru socket set for the times when I need something compact and portable.

The best info I could find online on driveline fluid changes in a second-generation RAV4 was this thread from some overseas RAV4 owners.
