when stopped at a red lite pressing the brake pedal and then let off get the sound of a whistling sound while the brake pedal is coming up once its up.it still barely makes the sound until touch the pedal it will stop.sprayed the rod from the brake pedal with 10w40.the sound stopped for bout a day but is back again.anybody have any suggestions are advice? thnx

Brake booster maybe, those are powered by vacuum from the engine intake. Could also be related to brake hydraulics. Or it could just be a noisy spring, I've seen that on cars too. Might potentially be related to your Vehicle Stability Control from your other post, if the brake master cylinder is putting too much or too little pressure on the caliper.

I had the noisy spring on good ol' Chevy Corsica. After 2 months of driving it started giving me headache and i replaced it for like 40 dollars. But that was like 10 years ago, it may cost more nowadays.

Whooshing sounds like the gas shocks that lift up the hatch or rear door on some cars, not a spring.
